Services: Certified Nursing Assistants

Certified Nursing Assistants

The growing demand for healthcare services among elderly and aging populations has created an immediate need for Certified Nursing Assistants in hospitals and in-home care settings. Helping Hands Patient Services prides itself in providing highly trained CNAs to provide long term health care and recovery services to patients in an atmosphere of comfort and safety.

Our highly trained CNAs are extensively trained in the provision of proper lifting techniques, use of lifting equipment, body mechanics, bio-mechanics, ergonomics and algorithms and adhere to AB1136, SPHM and hospital protocols and in-home healthcare etiquette. Our CNAs also assist patients with basic needs, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and feeding themselves. Many of our patients are stroke victims, immobile residents in nursing homes, or recovering from an accident, injury or surgical procedure, whether in a hospital or at home.

HHPS CNAs often provide the first impression of the quality of the HHPS patient care services. Our CNAs take and record the patient’s vital signs and perform a battery of routine tasks on a daily basis that are typically associated with a visit to a physician’s office, a clinic or a hospital facility.

At your option our in-home care CNAs will prepare and serve meals, make beds and perform routine cleaning services, including cleaning bedpans and changing soiled linens. In-home care by a CNA affords the elderly or home-ridden patient with compassionate, dignified service and companionship during their time of illness or disability. Our CNAs also provide services in acute care hospital and long-term care settings. HHPS CNAs are trained to set up medical equipment and assist with routine medical procedures, storing and setting up medical equipment, laying out tools for patient exams, and moving heavy medical equipment from one room to another.
